The Master Class is designed for your brass players and will be very informative and inspirational. If facilities allow we like to divide your brass students by instrument and work with them as a group. Many band directors like to have us "sit-in" on a rehearsal with their group and play along with the students. We are asked to demonstrate various parts in the music and give the students ideas as they are playing. In many schools we have done both, worked with like instrument groups and played with the band or orchestra. We also bring a nice hand-out of good ideas for each brass instrument. We are glad to answer questions and offer advice on the many facets of music. Sometimes we have performed in the schools during the day and worked with the students for and evening performance. The Madison Brass could play this program or even better have all the student groups perform as well. | ||||||
| To raise funds for the band program students have sold tickets and had a spaghetti or pizza dinner in the cafeteria. It is not hard to sell tickets where the students will be performing in public with a group like The Madison Brass and perhaps a pre-concert dinner as well! We have been traveling through out Wisconsin and Northern Illinois for many years and have performed in hundreds of schools. Many of them more then once! Fees for a concert package with a workshop or mini-sessions is still $500 plus 40 cents per mile for time and travel. |

| When traveling more then 20 miles from Madison we like to work with two schools, one in the morning and the second after lunch. We can then split the travel cost evenly between the two schools. If we could work in a third school that day the travel cost would be even less! We are the only group of its kind that has been performing in schools throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois consistently over the last 15 years. | |||||||
| We are not a Non Profit organization (however you probably are) and we depend solely on our marketing and the quality of our work. We are listed in the Touring Roster sponsored by The Wisconsin Arts Board and schools and communities can request grant money for our performances | |||||||
